Founded by Bob Gill in 1963 with the support of his wife, Bev, Robert Gill Builder began as a business focused on helping families find homes. Within just a few months, Bob expanded the company by forming his own carpentry crew and quickly established a reputation for building quality homes. Bev played an essential role in the company’s success by managing the office operations and contributing her talent for interior design to many of the homes they created.
In 1975, after graduating from Macalester College, their son Kirk joined the family business bringing a strong focus to the custom home building division of Robert Gill Builder. Continuing the family tradition, Aaron Gill became the third generation to join the company after graduating from the University of Notre Dame.
Today, as president, Aaron works alongside Kirk to carry on the family’s commitment to craftsmanship, integrity, and personal service. In 2024, Kirk’s daughter, Annika, joined the business, taking on the important role of managing the office and overseeing day-to-day billing operations, continuing the family’s hands-on involvement.
Drawing on our decades of experience, Robert Gill Builder guides clients from the earliest planning stages through final construction. Many homeowners come to us while their ideas are still taking shape, and our role is to simplify the process and provide trusted guidance every step of the way.
Throughout planning and design, we work closely with homeowners to coordinate floor plan development, site planning, product selections, and overall project direction.
